Epic Pass Peak Restrictions for 2026-27: Read the Dates Before You Buy
Not every Epic product provides the same access on the busiest dates, and the restrictions are easy to overlook when buying before the season starts.
For the 2026-27 North American season, Epic lists major restricted peak periods including November 27-28, December 26-31, January 16, and February 13-14 for several restricted products.
The Epic Local Pass restricts access on those dates at Vail, Beaver Creek, Whistler Blackcomb, Park City, Heavenly, Northstar, Kirkwood, and Stowe. Other products have their own restrictions, and some resorts have additional rules.
For example, Epic says the Northeast Midweek Pass is also restricted on weekends throughout the season at Stowe, Okemo, Hunter, and Mount Snow. The Stevens Pass Select Pass has a much longer list of restricted daytime dates, although night skiing remains available when offered.
These restrictions are not hidden in the formal sense—they are published by Epic Pass. But skiers should read them carefully before assuming a lower-priced pass gives the same holiday and weekend access as an unrestricted product.
The larger criticism is that Vail’s pass lineup has become complicated enough that the headline price alone does not tell a customer what access they are actually buying.
