Vail Plans Two New Park City Lifts for 2027-28 While Access Disputes Continue Nearby
Vail Resorts announced new Park City Mountain lift investments just as the resort remains involved in a separate legal dispute over access and lift operations elsewhere on the mountain.
The company says it plans to upgrade the Eagle and Silverlode lifts before the 2027-28 ski season.
New lift investment can improve capacity and reliability, and Park City is one of Vail’s most important destination resorts.
But the timing also highlights the complexity of the resort’s current situation: Vail is investing in future infrastructure while an unrelated property dispute involving other terrain and lift access remains unresolved.
For Park City skiers, both developments matter. Future lift upgrades may improve the guest experience, while the ongoing legal dispute creates uncertainty that could affect access in the nearer term.
