Vail Targets November 13 Opening; Beaver Creek November 25 for 2026-27 Season

Colorado’s 2026-27 ski season calendar is taking shape, and Vail Resorts’ major Colorado mountains now have tentative opening dates on the board.

Axios Denver reports that Vail Mountain is targeting November 13, while Beaver Creek is targeting November 25. Breckenridge is aiming for November 6.

As always, these dates depend on weather and snowmaking conditions and can change.

The calendar matters more this year because Vail Resorts is entering the season after reporting weaker pass sales and a difficult prior winter. Getting terrain open on schedule—and delivering a strong early-season experience—will be closely watched.

For skiers planning trips, tentative opening dates are useful, but conditions and actual terrain availability are more important than the calendar alone.
