Whistler Blackcomb Targets November 20 Opening and Adds New Showcase Chair

Whistler Blackcomb is targeting November 20, 2026 for the start of its 2026-27 winter season.

Vail Resorts’ current Whistler Blackcomb winter information also highlights a new Showcase Chair on Blackcomb, intended to improve access to alpine terrain and glacier skiing.

The resort is also adding dining changes and bringing My Epic Assistant to Whistler Blackcomb as part of Vail’s broader push toward app-based guest support.

For skiers, the new chair is the most tangible improvement. Faster or more reliable access to Blackcomb’s upper mountain can make a real difference on busy days.

The broader question is whether Vail’s investments in technology, dining, and premium services translate into a noticeably better day-to-day experience for regular skiers.
